You’ll gain hands-on experience with skills lab training and clinical placements, empowering you to deliver exceptional care to your clients. Our course will give you the knowledge and skills to help you to contribute and make a positive impact on the lives of older people and those living with a disability. You will learn hands-on skills to support your individual clients’ needs such as maintaining personal care, supporting their skill development, and other person-centred care. Your training is delivered and supported with a personal touch by our experienced and highly skilled educators through a blended learning approach of classroom delivery and industry standard simulated skills lab. This course requires you to complete 160 hours of supported vocational work placement (80hrs in residential care and 80hrs in disability support) where you will use your newly developed care skills in the real world professionally and confidently. That is why work placement is so essential. Work placement must be conducted in an aged care, disability or home and community organisation. We also require a supervisor to sign off to confirm the work has been completed to the required standard.
