The role

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Food & Beverage leadership team as Director Culinary Operations.

The Director Culinary Operations provides oversight and support to the overall performance and creates best practice of culinary operations at Crown Perth. You will be responsible for maximising business unit objectives and ensuring that each outlet is managed as a successful independent profit centre.

We’re looking for a natural leader who possesses expectational people management skills with experience in managing multiple outlets and large operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and enable a productive engagement culture that values quality and guest service based on professionalism, passion and pride.
  • Plan and implement work practices to ensure compliance with workplace and environmental legislation and standards
  • Analyse and interpret budgets and financial results to monitor profit and productivity performance
  • Explore new/future menu items, cooking methods, procedures and equipment to stay abreast of trending developments
  • Oversee and approve recruitment, development and succession planning processes
  • Ensure legislation, standards and organisational policies are available for staff to create and maintain a safe workplace and environment

About you

  • Tertiary education preferably in Culinary operations and hospitality management or a business-related discipline
  • Must have 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role or level (preferably from a high-end resort, casino, or hotel operation)
  • Established leadership and people management experience to ensure operations have clear structure and achievable goals
  • Advance skill in Operational Management- Understanding the requirements of the individual business is the key to achieving the financial goals
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
