Base salary $68k to $75k (paid on a pro rata basis) + 15.4% ABC Nominated Super.
The Role
The ABC is looking for a Producer – Part-time to join the team based in either our Dubbo or Orange office. Working on the Saturday breakfast show, you’ll play a key role in telling compelling local stories for audiences across the Central West, Western Plains and beyond.
The Job
- Produce original, engaging content for ABC Dubbo and Orange across multiple platforms.
- Provide in-studio production support, including managing talk-back callers and guests.
- Create local stories that can be shared across state and national ABC News platforms.
- Actively engage with communities to find stories that reflect cultural, geographic and socio-economic diversity.
- Contribute to local emergency coverage and liaise with relevant stakeholders when required.
- Cross-promote other ABC content to increase audience reach and engagement.

About You
You’re a skilled and curious Producer who thrives in a regional newsroom and enjoys telling stories with impact.
You'll have:
- Demonstrated program-making skills, with the ability to create original and engaging audio and cross-platform content
- Strong editorial judgement, with the ability to source, analyse and present information accurately and creatively
- A deep interest in regional communities and the issues that affect diverse audiences
- Creativity, news sense and the ability to identify stories that will resonate with audiences
- Available 8 hours per week, including Saturdays 6-10 am
