What you'll be doing

Preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards

Assisting in menu planning and development

Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements

Assist Cook in ordering and maintaining inventory levels

Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service

Inspect and receive stock

Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience

What business is looking for

Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery. Alternatively, 3 years of experience can be used to substitute formal qualification.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant role within the restaurant industry

Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Food safety and hygiene awareness and ability to apply it in workplace

Other skills and requirements:

· Requiring a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a relevant role

· Good team player.

· A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
