Casual Assistant in Nursing positions

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic nursing student who is currently enrolled or completed 2nd Year Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery degrees at a recognised tertiary institution.

Must have completed a minimum of two clinical placements within the last 12-months to join our team as a Casual AIN

You will be working on a medical and surgical ward (experience in the acute medical and surgical setting) and be responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient focused environment.

Your main duties will include:

  • Patient care within AIN scope of practice
  • Monitor and report patient observations and clinical changes to RN/TL in charge
  • Support activities of daily living, Giving direct care to a specific patient population within each unit by attending basic hygiene needs i.e.: showering, mouth care, shaving, toileting needs. Providing assistance to patients with feeding, positioning, mobilisation, pressure area care.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation of care provided.
