Job Description

Your opportunity to join us on Afternoon Shift at Murarrie!

An opportunity now exists for a Production Supervisor to oversee our Afternoon Shift from 4:00pm to 12:30am at Inghams Primary Processing site, Murarrie, QLD. In this role, you will ensure smooth, safe and efficient production processes, while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. This is a hands-on leadership position, where you’ll guide and support your team to achieve production targets, meet safety and quality standards, and continuously improve processes.

Responsibilities include

  • Supervise and lead a team to meet production goals
  • Ensure compliance is met across safety and food safety standards
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements where necessary
  • Provide hands-on support to the team, fostering collaboration and productivity
  • Oversee training and development to build team capability
  • Manage resources effectively to meet deadlines and achieve efficiency targets
  • Report on production outcomes and escalate issues as required

You will bring to this role

  • Proven leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in food production or meat processing is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Computer literacy and experience with production systems are advantageous
