Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
Working in The Wesley Gown & Glove Restaurant, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality customer service to all customers including patients, staff and visitors.
Duties will include basic meal preparation, portioning and service of hot and cold food, coffee making, cash handling, product knowledge and pricing, maintaining and replenishing floor stock supplies.
Working as a member in our Food Services Restaurant team you will:
- Be part of our experienced team providing food services in one of Australia’s iconic private, not-for-profit hospitals
- Be provided with opportunities for growth now that we have implemented our on demand, hotel-style room service model
- Be working with skilled chefs producing high quality cuisine for our patients, guests and various executive functions
- Have the opportunity to apply your skills in a varied food services role; meal preparation and delivery, call centre digital order processing and customer service
- Be able to apply your transferrable skillset from hospitality to the security of a career in the Healthcare sector
- Have the opportunity to be a recognised member of the Institute of Hospitality in Healthcare
What makes a difference for us?
Using your customer service and communication skills, you’ll work effectively with your team and demonstrate:
- Previous experience in customer service, within healthcare or a hospital environment will be desirable
- Experience in food service, preparation and delivery
- Barista skills desirable but not essential, training provided
- A professional attitude with excellent presentation and customer service skills
- Ability to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 5:30am and 9:30pm
- Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements
