Join a large‐scale enterprise data transformation where understanding the detail really matters. As a Technical Data Analysis Specialist, you’ll work closely with the Business Data Quality Lead to translate business and data requirements into clear, testable outcomes. You’ll sit at the intersection of business, data, and technology, helping teams understand what the data is telling us, how it should behave, and whether it’s ready for use. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, asking the right questions, and keeping complex programs moving forward.

This is a 12-month max-term contract role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).

What You'll Do

• Partner with the Business Data Quality Lead to understand business and data requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios and cases.

• Analyse data flows, transformations, and outputs to confirm behaviour aligns with business expectations.

• Design and document test cases, supporting both manual and automated data testing activities.

• Work closely with engineers, testers, and analysts to identify, log, and support the resolution of data defects.

• Contribute to programme updates, stand‐ups, and testing status reporting, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.

• Support testing cycles across multiple releases, managing dependencies, priorities, and tight timelines.

What You'll Bring

• Strong experience as a Technical Business Analyst or data‐focused BA in complex delivery environments.

• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into structured test cases and data scenarios.

• Solid understanding of data concepts, with experience analysing datasets using SQL or similar tools.

• Clear communication skills, able to work confidently with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.

• Experience working in fast‐paced programmes with multiple workstreams and competing priorities.

• Exposure to financial services, insurance, or large transformation programmes is beneficial but not essential.
