Position Description

Classification: ANU Officer 8 (Administration)
Salary package: $124,932 to $133,017 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: Full Time, Continuing

The Position

The Deputy Manager, Research Services leads a team of Research Funding professionals, mentoring and supporting staff to achieve excellence. They will work in close collaboration with senior managers in the Research Funding and Contracts team as well as academic staff to provide strategic advice and support on complex research management matters, building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The Person

We are seeking a proactive, strategic team player with people management skills, excellent judgement, and the ability to guide research funding activity, strengthen partnerships, and ensure high-quality, compliant operations.

The Department

The Research Funding team support our research effort across the research lifecycle and across the University. The teams bring complementary skills and strengths to supporting research endeavours.

The Division

The Research and Innovation Portfolio (R&I Portfolio) is responsible for the leadership, governance and overall strategic direction of research, the higher degree research (HDR) program, innovation and commercialisation, and research support activities. The priorities for the R&I Portfolio encompass leadership and effective governance of research and innovation endeavours at ANU and supporting the positioning of the University as a strong national resource.
