The Role

As a Delivery Coach, you will be responsible for supporting and coaching several teams and people across Digital Product in collaborative ways of working, agile principles and practices and guiding teams towards autonomy and high performance.

You’ll be working with a number of cross-functional teams working on our ABC News website and mobile apps, designing and facilitating workshops and agile ceremonies, helping teams to innovate their ways of working and driving continuous improvement. You’ll help to create a positive working environment that allows everyone to bring their best self to work.

You’ll have the chance to contribute to the evolution of the Delivery Coaching Strategy and its continued roll-out across the department as well as growing and cultivating an amazing team culture. We are a tight knit and incredibly supportive team who come together regularly to focus on our craft, where your contributions will be encouraged and embraced.

About You

You have a naturally collaborative work-style and are passionate about guiding teams towards autonomy and high performance whilst providing a positive and safe work culture. You have sophisticated interpersonal skills with an ability to engage diverse stakeholders from all levels and across all teams.

As part of a small coaching team, you will bring:

  • An open mindset towards collaborative, agile ways of working that’s values lead and isn’t restricted to a single framework or methodology
  • The flexibility to work across multiple teams at one time, and different teams over time, as well as flexing your approach to suit the needs of the team
  • Accomplished facilitation skills honed from a broad range of experience across structured and unstructured workshops and ceremonies.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to share knowledge and experience in a way which allows others to easily understand and learn from.
  • A working knowledge of modern Product Management, Design and Engineering practices.

An understanding of the following is highly desirable:

  • User Centred Design and Design Thinking
  • Scrum, Lean and XP principles and practices
  • Behavioural Driven Development (BDD)
  • Agile certification (CSM, CSP, SPC, etc.)
