Construction Manager Electrical

Location: Mackay / Rockhampton

About the role: We’re looking to do things a little bit differently here at Aurizon, and as such, this newly created role will see you working within our Network Operations - Electrical Team. You will plan, managing and controlling the integration, supervision and commissioning of site contracted construction activities throughout Central Queensland. Ensuring that our Electrical, Control Systems and Asset Protection scopes are built safely, on time, on budget and to the required standards and specifications.

  • Ensure ALL construction activities under supervision comply with the relevant Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Legislation as well as the enterprise's Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Standards, Policies and Procedures.

  • Provide input to the design development, constructability and planning of related construction projects during the pre-execution phases.

  • Manage, monitor and control onsite construction activities through the use of: pre-start briefs, direct supervision, on-site inspections, audits, contract management including ITP/ITR review, Site Instructions, Variation Control, etc

About you: You thrive on working in a dynamic environment and value stakeholder engagement. You have a proven safety record and have significant experience in rail construction management or similar industry.
