About the team
The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in, line with the Group’s risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.
About the role
The Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance Services is an integral part of the Risk & Compliance Services team. Reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance Services you will lead a small team of risk professional, overseeing the Business Continuity and Data Risk Management activities across various business division in line with CPS230 requirements.
You will be key in leading and driving the:
Implementation of the group data risk program
Implementation and execution of the business continuity program
Provide risk advisory support to help the business make informed risk management decision and working with Divisional Risk Team to develop remediation plans and effective risk controls
Support the successful implementation of CPS 230
Ideally you will be based at one of our corporate offices in Melbourne Adelaide, Bendigo or Sydney but open to location for the right candidates.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Risk Management, Accounting, Finance or related field
Demonstrated experience in Risk & Compliance within Banking and Financial Services (Line 1 or2) with a sound understanding of Banking operations, product, policies and procedures
Strong understanding and experience with Data Risk, Operational Risk and Compliance Frameworks
Experience leading teams with the ability to motivate and support a proactive team environment
Excellent communication skills including strong report writing skills and the ability to communicate complexity clearly and succinctly
Highly developed relationship building skills to work with multiple stakeholders across all levels with the ability to advise, influence and negotiate
Strong problem-solving and resolution focused capabilities with a continuous improvement mindset
