KLUMIN FENCING PTY LTD We are a local fencing and steel fabrication business based in Darwin looking for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver and a Builder labourer to support our growing company demand. Position 1 – Forklift Driver This is a full-time position reporting to the director, as a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move bulk materials, containers, crates, palletised goods, cartons and bales. Responsibilities and duties  Operate forklifts safely and competently to unload pallets from trucks and transport incoming stock to designated areas in warehouses. Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up.  Be able to count/ check accurately the incoming stock against with purchase order invoice to ensure that specifications, quantity, and quality of incoming stock are correct.  Operate forklifts to load alcohol, general groceries, fresh foods, and fruits onto the truck regularly to prepare for wholesale and daily deliveries.  Repetitive lifting of loads (up to 1000kg) from delivery truck to warehouse.  Ability to work safely in narrow aisles and high-rise store shelves.  Working productively within strict timeframes.  Maintain control of warehouse equipment and company vehicles by monitoring gauges and complete periodic preventive maintenance schedules to identify wear and damage.  Be able to perform minor repairs and adjustments to the forklifts. Qualifications and employment experience  At least a relevant AQF Certificate II or equivalent AND at least 1 year of full-time (20 hours or more per week) relevant experience.  OR at least a relevant AQF Certificate III or equivalent AND at least 1 year (minimum 20 hours plus per week) relevant post qualification experience  OR at least 1 year full-time (38 hours or more per week) relevant experience  Hold a current Forklift License and driver’s license. Relevant skills  Organizational skills and time management  Communication proficiency  Attention to detail  Able to work independently and in a team  Physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs  Handling skills and experience in unloading goods  The proven track record for reliability and dependability  A can-do attitude and sense of initiative. Postion 2 – Builder’s Labourer The Builder’s Labourer supports construction and installation activities related to fencing, gates, and associated structures. This role involves physical work, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring efficient site operations. Key Duties and Responsibilities  Assist with installation of fencing, gates, and related structures  Prepare work sites, including digging, clearing, and material setup  Load and unload construction materials and tools  Support welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks under supervision  Use hand and power tools safely and effectively  Maintain a clean and organised work environment  Follow instructions from supervisor and skilled tradespeople  Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) standards  Assist with general labouring duties across multiple job sites Qualifications and employment experience  At least a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate I  OR completed compulsory secondary education  OR completed relevant on the job-training Relevant skills  Previous experience in construction or labouring preferred  Ability to perform physically demanding work  Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment  Strong work ethic and reliability  Ability to work in a team environment  White Card (Construction Induction Card) required Only applicants who include a cover letter and meet the required skills will be considered.
