About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Cook to deliver high-quality food services to our residents while providing kitchen and food preparation support to our Chef. This role is essential in ensuring nutritious, well-presented meals that meet the diverse needs of Residents in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Take direction from the Chef and work collaboratively within the kitchen team
Plan, prepare, and present delicious, well-balanced, and nutritious meals for residents
Assist with general food preparation, kitchen duties, and stock control
Purchase and order food supplies and kitchen equipment as required
Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and served in compliance with relevant legislation and food safety standards
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher
A minimum of one year’s experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care or hospital experience preferred)
Bulk cooking experience (highly desirable)
Experience preparing texture-modified meals (advantageous)
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
Mandatory for compliance
- Willingness to apply for a National Police Check
