We’re on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and uplift our Accounts Payable function, delivering high‐quality, efficient and compliant services that support our frontline teams and the communities we serve.

In this senior leadership role, you’ll manage a large, multi‐entity AP team and work closely with Procurement, Banking, Treasury and finance stakeholders to drive process excellence, strengthen governance and support ongoing Procure‐to‐Pay (P2P) transformation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Procurement and stakeholders across the Procure‐to‐Pay value chain to drive efficiency, automation and service uplift.
  • Build strong relationships across the business to ensure AP services are responsive, transparent and value‐adding.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce rework, increase automation and improve supplier and customer experience.
  • Lead the day‐to‐day operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant processing of vendor payments.
  • Monitor AP performance, identify trends and risks, and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Manage and develop a team, fostering a high‐performing, engaged and values‐led culture.
  • Ensure AP policies, procedures, internal controls and governance requirements are met, including GST, audit and statutory obligations.
  • Oversee vendor master data management, payment processes and cash flow monitoring.
  • Support and contribute to finance and enterprise projects impacting the AP function.

What you will bring:

  • Significant experience leading an Accounts Payable, Transactional or Shared Services function in a large, complex, multi‐entity environment.
  • Deep understanding of end‐to‐end Procure‐to‐Pay processes and AP best practice.
  • Strong knowledge of AP and procurement systems, including vendor master data, invoices, payments, tax codes and controls.
  • Demonstrated experience leading process improvement and change initiatives.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship‐management skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Natural people leader with a track record of building high‐performing, engaged teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time‐management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with data.
  • Experience in not‐for‐profit environments and systems such as SAP, D365, Basware, Coupa or Dynamics AX (desirable).
