Salary: $77000 to $83000 per annum plus applicable superannuation

Employment type: Full Time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Its services range from general auto repairs to more specialist duties such as transmission repair and replacement, fuel system repair, and exhaust system maintenance. Business provides services to public, taxis and other fleet vehicles in regional Beenleigh and Brisbane. Services include but not limited to logbook servicing, repairs, and maintenance, RWC Inspections and Tyre services etc.

Join the Team

Business is seeking an experienced motor mechanic to join its team. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles. Candidates must have experience with engine systems, logbook servicing and basic to advanced diagnostics tools.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

· Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in vehicles.

· Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, brake checks, and tires.

· Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify potential issues.

· Repair or replace belts, hoses and other mechanical assemblies.

· Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint and resolve vehicle issues.

  • Fitting, rotating and servicing tyres.

· May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or identify and document work required to achieve roadworthiness.

  • Providing advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles.

  • Maintain records.

· Test drive vehicles to ensure all repairs are completed accurately.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

· Certificate III & IV in light vehicle automotive management & diagnosis

· Three years of experience can be used in lieu of the qualification.

Other skills and requirements:

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Strong knowledge of automotive systems

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

· Good problem solving skills

· Hold a valid Driver’s license.
