Deliver an efficient, effective and high-performing CMO office to support the CMO in leading a high-performing marketing organisation. This role will support the development of Marketing strategic initiatives and work with the Planning & Operation function to ensure execution across marketing function.

  • You will act as a trusted advisor, thought partner and execution and coordination lead, enabling focus on high-impact priorities

  • A key purpose of this role is providing guidance and support to help influence key decisions made by the NAB Chief Marketing Officer

  • Map how we will deliver the 2030 marketing strategy and develop the 3 year roadmap and plans, including workforce planning and capabilities

Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:

  • Partner with the CMO and Leaders to shape and execute the marketing strategy in alignment with the bank’s broader business objectives.

  • Develop and lead practices for strategy quarterly reviews, and performance tracking.

  • Identify opportunities for organisational improvement and drive initiatives that enhance team effectiveness and impact.

  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and ensure follow-through on strategic priorities.

  • Prepare and facilitate leadership meetings, and key forums, including agenda setting, content development, and action tracking.

  • Draft high-quality presentations, briefing papers, and communications for internal and external audiences, including Board and Executive Committee materials.

  • Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives that reflect the CMO’s voice and strategic intent.

  • Support thought leadership efforts, including speeches, articles, and industry engagement.

  • Act as a liaison between the CMO and internal/external stakeholders as required, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.

We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You will need:

  • Proven experience in Chief of Staff, strategy or management consulting roles. Exposure to financial services and complex corporate environments are also desirable

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Strategic thinker with a visionary mindset and high attention to detail

  • Strategic planning and execution, exceptional organisation skills

  • Deep understanding of brand strategy, creative excellence, and media strategy

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to craft executive-level content.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, drive execution, and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience with developing presentations, papers and executive communications

  • Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex programs of work including change and transformation

  • Experience working in fast paced and dynamic environments delivering results
