Long Term Maintenance Planner

About the Role:

Reporting to the Superintendent – Asset Planning & Strategy, this role is responsible for developing long-term maintenance plans, shutdown forecasts, budgets, and asset planning strategies for mining equipment. Working closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, finance, and external service providers, you will help deliver practical maintenance plans that balance cost, risk, reliability, and operational performance.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in improving asset reliability and supporting the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of site equipment.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and manage long-term maintenance plans and budgets for mining equipment.
  • Work with site, engineering, and operations teams to align maintenance plans with shutdowns and production needs.
  • Coordinate parts, labour, and long-lead items with procurement and reliability teams.
  • Review maintenance performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain planning data, forecasts, and work instructions in Pulse and support budget reporting.

What You Will Bring:

  • Trade qualifications or significant mining industry experience, enabling accurate estimation of resources, costs, materials, and timeframes.
  • Experience using TM1 for budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting, along with Pulse systems for maintenance planning, scheduling, reporting, and administration.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation and lead routine planning meetings.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities, navigating tight deadlines, and working effectively within structured systems and processes.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven, with experience interpreting technical documentation and liaising with contractors and vendors in a heavy equipment mining environment.
