About the Role

As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring planned and corrective maintenance and repairs for our Cazna Gardens Residential Aged Care Home and Retirement Living Village in Sunnybank Hills. Your ability to foster strong relationship with residents, contractors and suppliers will be a key part of making sure every day is the best it can be.

Responsibilities include:

• Hands-on repairs and maintenance

• General maintenance; painting, plastering, equipment repairs, installing doors, cupboards/shelves and designing garden layout

• Monitor stock levels of consumables and re-order where required

• Respond to maintenance issues, including requests and complaints in a timely and professional manner

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

• Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment

• Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience

• Stong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standards.

• Current valid drivers' licence

• Evidence of Australian work rights

• Police Check & NDIS workers Screen (or willing to obtain)

• A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role

• Availability to participate in a shared on-call roster to ensure continuity of service
