We are on the hunt for a Feedmill Hand to join our team in Aronui in a Permanent Full-time position. Aronui is the oldest commercial feedlot in Australia, the feedlot is situated on a basalt ridge near Dalby in Queensland and is fortunate to draw in water supply from underground bores in the Great Artesian Basin. It is 20Km north of Dalby and 3 hours west of Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Feedmill Manager, your key duties will include:

  • Completing general Feedmill & Feedlot duties.
  • Operating and maintaining machinery.
  • Maintain a clean hygienic working environment.
  • Identifying and reporting any existing or potential faults & quality problems.
  • Carry out feeding of livestock in accordance with Mill procedures.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Current Drivers License
  • An understanding of intensive livestock production systems.
  • Previous machinery maintenance and mill operation experience.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within team.
  • Strong problem-solving and computer skills.
  • Experience working towards deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance programs.
