Your Opportunity
This role supports the achievement of the outcomes of the Communities for Children Program including working collaboratively with local services, supporting community voice and implementing early intervention and prevention activities for families with children 0-12 years.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Supporting effective functioning of Communities for Children activities and capacity building of local community organisations
- Facilitating activities including meetings, project management/support
- Relationship building across the sector, promotion and administrative tasks
- Supporting improved outcomes for children aged 0-12 years and their families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Requirements for Success
- Demonstrated interest and commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
- Experience building professional relationships and working collaboratively and creatively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with primary school aged children.
- Ability to work effectively and equitably with diverse groups incorporating gender, culture and disability.
- Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
