We’re on the hunt for a Junior Payroll Officer with ambition to join our high-performing National Payroll team, supporting 25,000+ employees across Australia while gaining hands-on experience with Workday, one of the world’s leading payroll platforms. What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be right in the action, learning end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced, high-volume environment:

• Assist with weekly payroll processing (Workday Payroll)
• Maintain employee data — new starters, changes, terminations
• Work with Time & Attendance data (LIFELENZ)
• Get exposure to complex payroll calculations:
• Annual, personal, parental & long service leave
• Workers compensation
• Support month-end and year-end payroll activities
• Interpret Awards & EBAs (and actually understand them, not just tick boxes)
• Handle payroll queries via email, phone & JIRA
• Assist with reconciliations (super, payroll tax, YTD)
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements

What You Bring

• 1–2 years payroll experience (high-volume is a bonus)
• Basic understanding of payroll legislation, tax, Awards/EBAs
• Strong attention to detail (you spot what others miss)
• Confident communicator — written & verbal
• Team player who can juggle priorities with the right attitude

Bonus Points If You Have

• Exposure to Workday or similar HRIS/payroll systems
• Payroll qualifications (Cert/Diploma)
• Excel skills — formulas, pivots, data handling
