We’re Looking For

A commercially minded Finance Manager to partner with our Victorian Master Planned Communities business and support informed decision making across the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

As part of our Commercial Finance team, this permanent role is based in our Melbourne Head Office at the Rialto on Collins Street, with regular visits to master planned development sites across Victoria.

This is a front-end business partnering role that exists to provide performance insight, strengthen governance, and support strategic investment decisions within the state business unit. You will work closely with Development, Sales, Marketing and joint venture partners to ensure financial outcomes align with Stockland’s long-term objectives.

In this role you will:

  • Drive commercial strategy by providing insights that influence capital allocation decisions and optimise returns
  • Partner with senior leaders to validate financial metrics, model scenarios and challenge assumptions that shape business plans• Lead performance insight by identifying growth opportunities, managing risk and interpreting market trends
  • Ensure financial integrity across profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow reporting in line with Stockland standards
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, capability and future state ways of working

About You

You are curious about how developments come to life and motivated by understanding the story behind the numbers. You enjoy building trusted relationships, influencing outcomes and making a tangible impact through insight and advice.

Experience & Skills That Count

  • CA or CPA qualified with 5 to 7 years' experience in commercial finance, accounting, forecasting and analysis within a large or complex organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in business partnering and developing robust business plans
  • Strong analytical capability with a proactive and improvement focused approach
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with Development, Project, Sales and Marketing stakeholders
  • Willingness to maintain a regular on site presence and work three days per week from the Melbourne Head Office
