About The Role:

To support our Short and Mid-Term Maintenance Planning, we have an exciting opportunity for a Lead - Planning & Reliability to join our team and be a key part of developing the department onsite. Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will provide direct leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team across all assets including Mobile, Field & Ancillary Equipment, CHPP and Infrastructure.

This is a site-based position working 5:2 with flexibility over a 9 day fortnight on offer.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide effective leadership to the Short and Mid-Term Planning team with a focus on ensuring weekly plans are delivered and the adherence to work management metrics.
  • Own and implement best practice planning structures, procedures and processes to ensure the effective and efficient scheduling of all maintenance activities.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the team aimed at improving safety, work processes, cost, and overall capability.
  • Drive initiatives that improve cost effectiveness and productivity for both Daunia and Whitehaven.

What You'll Bring:

  • A trade or tertiary qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering will see you well placed to succeed.

  • Caterpillar equipment knowledge is highly regarded together with planning experience using SAP CMMS.

  • An inspirational leader with prior experience in a similar role, preferably in an open-cut coal mining environment.

  • Minimum of 5 years in the mining, mineral processing or heavy industries with a strong working knowledge of Maintenance Planning and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP4Hana and AMT are ideal.
