Position Type: Temporary Part Time opportunity available, up to 20 Hours per week

Qualifications: to a Bachelor level in Human Resources, Business, Law or similar relevant qualification/equivalent knowledge or experience.

Salary Range: LGO 6 ( $52.35 - $55.88 per hour + superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience

About The Role:

This position will educate, influence, guide, coach and collaborate with internal stakeholders and shares responsibility for the delivery of all human resource, workforce planning, diversity and inclusion strategies within council.

This position will work collaboratively and constructively with managers to ensure council attracts and retains a professional, responsive, highly skilled workforce which meets current and future business needs; this will be achieved through the provision of high level, strategic, professional, informed advice.

This role provides proactive support and high-quality advice in all aspects of employee relation case management, coaching supervisors and managers in managing underperformance, misconduct, staff complaints and health related matters, involving the Senior People and Culture Business Partner as required.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years proven experience and a strong academic foundation in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related field. You’ll be a strategic advisor, bringing contemporary HR knowledge, legislative fluency, and case management expertise to the table. Your ability to interpret awards and evaluate roles will support our evolving workforce. You’ll lead with integrity, build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, and bring sharp interpersonal skills, resilience, and commercial acumen to the role. Experience in HRIS systems, and the Microsoft suite will be key as you drive continuous improvement across our organisation.
