Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Motor Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, diagnostics, and maintenance, with the ability to deliver high-quality service on a variety of vehicles. This role involves comprehensive diagnostic assessments, precise repairs, and routine maintenance to ensure vehicles are running smoothly and safely. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical and electrical problems in petrol and diesel vehicle engines and other critical components. Disassemble engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems to examine and repair or replace defective parts, as required. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups to keep vehicles in top condition and in compliance with environmental regulations. Accurately reassemble engines and mechanical parts post-repair, ensuring all components are fitted correctly and functioning as intended, referring to service manuals and technical documentation. Conduct tests on repaired components and systems to verify that all repairs meet quality standards and that the vehicle performs optimally. Utilize advanced diagnostic and scan tools and software to diagnose engine errors using engine codes and assess the condition of vehicle parts and systems. Qualifications: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis 1 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software. Strong knowledge of engine codes. Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical documents. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver’s license. Desirable Qualification and Skills: Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models. Strong customer service skills.
