About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Claims Advisor to manage workers’ compensation claims within our QLD self-insurance scheme at Bolton Clarke. In this role, you’ll assess liability, coordinate insurer rehabilitation and return-to-work plans and provide expert guidance to staff and stakeholders. You’ll play a key part in ensuring compliance, supporting recovery, and delivering great outcomes for our people.

End‐to‐end QLD workers’ compensation claims | Self‐insured portfolio | Legislative decision‐making

Key activities:

  • Manage end-to-end workers’ compensation claims under QLD legislation.
  • Assess liability for physical and psychological injury claims.
  • Support recovery by coordinating medical and allied health treatment.
  • Develop and monitor insurer rehabilitation and return-to-work plans.
  • Provide advice and education on injury management and entitlements.
  • Maintain accurate records and process wage entitlements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support recovery.

About you:

  • Qualifications in injury management, rehabilitation, or equivalent experience.
  • Meet the criteria for recognition as a statutory claims officer under QLD legislation.
  • Experience in claims (ideally in self-insurance or WorkCover QLD).
  • Strong analytical, time management, and communication skills. High level communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build constructive and effective relationships,
  • Able to effectively liaise with and influence staff across all levels of Bolton Clarke
  • Proficient Microsoft office suite
