About the role

Reporting to the General Manager of Legal & Company Secretarial and based onsite at the Corporate Office in Homebush West, you will act as a trusted advisor, delivering high-quality, strategic, and pragmatic legal advice to ASX listed company Harvey Norman Holdings Limited, and each subsidiary (the Company).

You will be exposed to a wide range of legal matters in this role— anything with a legal element may come across your desk.

You’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management and executives, that will instruct on a range of matters that include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Information Technology (Master Services Agreements, software licensing, IT project and development governance)
  • Sponsorships and promotional activities (Sponsorship Agreements - see pages 61 to 63 of the Harvey Norman Holdings Limited 2025 Annual Report available here https://www.harveynormanholdings.com.au/).
  • Commercial terms of supply and purchase;
  • Procurement activities;
  • AMLCTF, gift card activities and finance arrangements;
  • Intellectual property (trade mark portfolio management, licensing, domain name management);
  • Privacy and data governance; and
  • Compliance and regulatory compliance.

About you

You are a qualified Lawyer with post-admission experience, ideally gained within a reputable in-house legal firm. You demonstrate exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.

You will;

  • Be adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with the confidence to challenge norms and have a genuine approach to mentoring.
  • Have strong drafting skills with the ability to tailor communication to suit different stakeholders.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Have a current, unrestricted NSW Practicing Certificate or eligibility to acquire one.
