As our Event Services Operations Manager , you will lead the delivery of exceptional event experiences at The Star Gold Coast, overseeing the seamless execution of conferences, exhibitions, and functions. You will take ownership of a dynamic, high-volume event environment, partnering with senior stakeholders to elevate guest experiences, optimise operational performance, and shape the future of event delivery at one of Australia’s premier integrated resorts.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Event Operations team, ensuring an exceptional guest experience
  • Analyse event P&L performance to identify efficiencies, manage costs, and support budget planning
  • Oversee day-to-day Event Centre operations, ensuring seamless delivery of conferences, exhibitions, and large-scale functions
  • Collaborate with Event Planning teams to execute event strategies, validate event orders, and ensure operational readiness
  • Manage labour planning, rostering, and inventory to optimise service delivery while maintaining cost control and compliance

What are we looking for

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced event, conference, or hospitality environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing budgets, labour costs, and operational performance
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, solve problems effectively, and deliver outstanding guest experiences
  • Nationally recognised RSA statement of attainment (essential), tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality or a related field (highly regarded)
