Job description
The Opportunity – Help build places people love to live
Due to continued growth, Stockland has established a newly formulated WHS team, creating an exciting opportunity to shape how safety systems and processes operate across the business. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to make a real impact as we uplift, streamline and modernise our WHS systems environment.
This role is ideally based in Sydney, with flexibility to consider candidates located in Victoria or Queensland for the right person.
We’re Looking For a…
WHS Coordinator who is highly organised, systems‑savvy and passionate about supporting safe ways of working, even if you haven’t worked formally in a safety role before.
What You’ll Do
Reporting into the Head of Safety, this role provides critical coordination and administrative support across WHS systems and business‑as‑usual safety activities. You’ll play a central role in keeping systems running smoothly while supporting the transition to a future, integrated safety platform.
A key focus of the role is acting as a system super user, managing multiple WHS and related platforms including induction systems, sign‑in portals and permit processes. You’ll be the backbone of the function, ensuring data accuracy, smooth workflows and reliable reporting across the safety team.
The role exists to bring structure, consistency and visibility to WHS systems, enabling the broader safety team to focus on strategy, risk and improvement initiatives.
About You
You’re naturally organised, curious and take pride in keeping things running well behind the scenes. You may not be safety‑qualified, but you have a genuine interest in health and safety, enjoy learning new systems, and like being the go‑to person others rely on for accuracy and follow‑through.
Experience & Skills That Count
- Strong administrative and coordination experience across multiple workstreams
- High level of comfort working with systems and digital platforms, including learning new tools
- Experience with safety, HR or enterprise systems such as SAP, Concur, EHS platforms or similar
- Ability to manage induction systems, portals, sign‑in tools and paper‑based permit processes
- Experience preparing reports, managing data and supporting compliance activities
- Confidence using Microsoft tools and emerging technology, including Copilot for meetings, transcription and reporting
The Right Mindset
- Genuine interest and awareness of workplace safety and risk
- Highly organised, methodical and detail‑focused
- Proactive, adaptable and keen to grow with a newly established team
