Senior Legal Counsel with a strong corporate foundation who is ready to bring their legal expertise into a dynamic, fast-paced in-house environment.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performing Corporate & Regulatory team, partnering across the business to deliver pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of matters.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and advise on corporate governance, ASX and regulatory compliance, company secretarial matters and provide support for identifying upcoming changes to law and regulation impacting the organisation
  • Provide legal support on complex commercial and corporate matters, including technology, finance and procurement contracts
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury and other business units to navigate emerging legal issues and support business outcomes
  • Support cyclical reporting obligations and listed entity compliance requirements, applying strong knowledge of the Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules
  • Work across diverse and often emerging matters, researching, problem solving, applying critical thinking and delivering commercially focused legal solutions to support business operations
  • Contribute to strategic projects and continuous improvement in governance practices
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers while fostering knowledge sharing across the team

This role exists to provide trusted, commercially focused legal advice across a breadth of corporate and regulatory matters, while enabling the business to operate confidently within a complex regulatory environment.

About You

You’re operating at a Senior Associate level or equivalent and ready to transition in-house, or you are an established in-house lawyer looking to broaden your scope. You enjoy variety, thrive in fast-paced environments and are motivated by the opportunity to partner closely with the business.

You’re curious, adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing a practical mindset and a willingness to get across new areas quickly.

Experience & Skills That Count

  • Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law
  • Experience advising on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and listed entity obligations
  • Strong background in corporations law and ASX Listing Rules
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Substantial relevant post admission experience, background in a top-tier or international firm or mid-tier law firm at Senior Associate level or equivalent or as a senior in-house lawyer
  • Must hold a current relevant practising certificate in a State Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines as a true generalist and manage competing priorities
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to partner across functions, build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and influence outcomes
  • Confidence to engage and manage external counsel where appropriate
  • Comfortable with technology, including the use of AI
