About Business Jawanda Homes is a trusted Adelaide-based construction company specializing in high-quality residential buildings, renovations, and extensions. We are seeking a qualified and dependable full-time Carpenter to join our growing team. This role involves a broad range of carpentry tasks across residential construction and renovation projects, requiring strong skills in both structural and finishing carpentry. You will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver projects to a high standard. Key Duties · Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation methods · Select, prepare, and cut timber and other construction materials · Measure, mark, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and composite materials with precision · Construct, install, and repair structures including wall frames, partitions, floors, roofs, and staircases · Carry out demolition, modification, and reconstruction work for renovations and extensions · Install doors, windows, cabinetry, cladding, and internal/external fixtures · Assemble and fit structures and components on-site and in workshop environments · Ensure all work is level, plumb, and aligned using appropriate tools · Install and dismantle formwork and temporary frameworks where required · Complete finishing carpentry including trims, mouldings, skirting, and architraves · Maintain, repair, and replace existing timber structures and fixtures · Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery · Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications · Always Adhere to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements Skills & Requirements · Certificate III in Carpentry (AQF Level 3) or equivalent · Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time experience · Proven experience in structural, finishing, and renovation carpentry · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans · Strong knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS regulations · High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Own tools and reliable transport preferred Why Join us · Secure, long-term employment with a steady pipeline of projects · Opportunity to work on diverse residential buildings and renovations · Supportive and professional team environment · Ongoing opportunities for skill development and career growth Apply now if you meet the above criteria and are looking to join a reputable and growing construction company.
