Maintenance Supervisor | Mobile Maintenance | Blackwater Mine
Take the next step in your leadership journey at one of Australia’s largest coal operations. Blackwater Mine is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Mobile Maintenance team, driving performance, safety and reliability across a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment.
As a key frontline leader, you’ll oversee day‑to‑day maintenance execution, support a high‑performing crew, and ensure our fleet is operating safely and efficiently to meet production targets.
About the Role
In this role, you will supervise maintenance activities across a broad range of mobile equipment, including haul trucks, dozers, graders, loaders, and ancillary support gear. You will coordinate daily work plans, manage breakdown priorities, and ensure maintenance quality standards are consistently met.
You will also play a critical role in developing your team, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring compliance with site procedures and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Maintenance Leadership — Lead a crew of tradespeople to safely execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Work Management — Coordinate work orders, allocate labour, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Fleet Reliability — Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with planning and engineering teams to improve asset health.
- Safety & Compliance — Champion a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to site standards and legislative requirements.
- Team Development — Mentor tradespeople, support training pathways, and build capability within the team.
- Stakeholder Engagement — Communicate effectively with production, planning and leadership teams to align maintenance priorities.
About You
- Trade‑qualified with extensive experience in mobile plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry.
- Proven leadership capability with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Strong understanding of maintenance processes, defect elimination and reliability principles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
