About the Role

Manic Espresso Café is seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and has strong leadership and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day café operations, including opening and closing procedures

  • Supervise, train, and roster staff to ensure efficient service

  • Maintain high standards of customer service and resolve customer concerns

  • Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations

  • Manage budgets, control costs, and assist with financial reporting

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards of the café

Skills and Experience Required

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a café or hospitality management role

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Solid understanding of café operations, including coffee preparation and food service

  • Experience with POS systems and basic financial management

  • Knowledge of Australian food safety standards and regulations
