Epworth Medical Foundation (EMF) is a leader in the development and delivery of funding that supports vital medical research, diagnosis, treatment and care for Victorians.

EMF are now seeking an exceptional Senior Trust and Foundations Manager to lead their Trust and Foundations Program to join their vibrant, committed and passionate team of fundraisers.

The role

Reporting to the Executive Director of EMF, the Senior Manager Trusts and Foundations role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional who is able to build upon their highly successful Trust and Foundation program to significantly increase fundraising income to support the work of Epworth HealthCare.

Primarily responsible for identifying and building relationships with new private and corporate trusts and individuals will be the key to success, to support existing partnerships with funders in Victoria. We are seeking an innovative professional who can prospect and source new funding streams to strengthen EMF’s current program.

There is also the prospect of developing submissions for government grant programs.

In addition to this, you will also be responsible for the following:

• Lead a highly active and engaged acquittal and stewardship program to build enduring links to future founders
• Strategically identify programs and activities within Epworth HealthCare which require funding
• Draft and submit applications on behalf of EMF
• Build strong relationships across both the EMF team and Epworth HealthCare
• Develop an annual plan to support the submission cycle
• Dedicate your time to networking with prospective founders to strengthen success

Skills and experience

The Senior Manager Trusts and Foundations role requires a tenacious, polished and target driven senior leader who is passionate about identifying and developing new relationships. You will also have the following:

• A track record of working at a senior fundraising level or a similar field
• Demonstrated success engaging new funders and growing income
• The ability to engage and positively influence new donors/funders
• Detailed understanding of the requirements for grants applications and management
• Knowledge of the philanthropic sector and the ability to source new income
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to build a compelling case for support
• A strong desire to change and improve health outcomes for the community
• Strength in effectively interpreting data
• A commitment to innovation and the development of best practice fundraising strategies and programs
• A values based approach to securing funding

The Epworth Medical Foundation operates onsite in Richmond full time. However ,they encourage face to face engagement with donors and prospective donors wherever possible to enhance their brand and reputation to support income growth.
