Located within Crown Metropol, Lobby Lounge offers guests a relaxed yet luxurious setting, from morning coffees and indulgent high tea through to evening tapas and cocktails in a vibrant social atmosphere.

We’re currently seeking an experienced and people-focused Assistant Manager to support the leadership team in delivering exceptional guest experiences across this dynamic, all day venue.

About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the day-to-day operations of the venue, ensuring consistent service excellence from breakfast through to late-night cocktail service.

This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll:

  • Support in driving operational performance and service standards
  • Lead, develop and inspire a diverse team across a multi-service offering (coffee, high tea, bar and lounge)
  • Create a warm, engaging and memorable guest experience in a premium environment
  • Drive floor leadership across varying service styles – from relaxed daytime trade to lively evening service
  • Maintain strong focus on compliance, labour management and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent customer service
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction through time management and multi-tasking
  • Strong attention to detail through both service and menu knowledge
  • Lead and guide team members, while sharing your knowledge to upskill team members
  • Forecast ahead of large events and ensure stock, staff and venue is prepared
  • Assisting with the scheduling and rostering of employees
  • General stock ordering and stock take/stock control

About you

You’ll bring the following:

  • Previous experience working within a Supervisory or Assistant Manager position within a hospitality environment
  • Excellent time management
  • Customer serviced focused with the want to learn and strive for excellence
  • Bring a positive mindset and culture to your environment

To be successful, you’ll:

  • Hold or willing to obtain a current Approved Managers License
  • Full availability and able to work across a rotating roster of morning, daytime and evening shifts
  • Have minimum 1-2 year previous leadership experience in a busy bar environment
