We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Parts Interpreter to join our team in Brendale, Australia on a full-time basis. In this role, you'll be the expert who connects customers with the right automotive parts solutions. You'll play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every transaction. Your analytical skills and collaborative approach will help drive our team's success and keep our customers satisfied.
- Identify and analyze customer needs to recommend appropriate automotive parts and tailored solutions
- Navigate catalogs, databases, and inventory systems to accurately locate, source, and order parts
- Process sales transactions, credits, warranties, and invoicing with precision and attention to detail
- Communicate technical information in a clear, accessible manner to customers with varying levels of expertise
- Assist with packing, dispatch, and occasional deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment
- Maintain showroom presentation, pricing accuracy, and merchandising standards
- Monitor and manage stock levels while supporting warehouse operations and inventory organization
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and achieve team goals
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and enhance the customer experience
Qualifications
**Required Skills & Experience:**
- Proven experience as a Parts Interpreter or demonstrated familiarity with automotive, mechanical, or electrical parts
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using catalogs, databases, and inventory management systems
- Ability to simplify and explain technical information to diverse customer audiences
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proven ability to process transactions accurately and manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving capability and analytical thinking
- Reliable, professional, and team-focused attitude with a collaborative work style
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive retail, workshop environments, or related customer service roles
- Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and part compatibility
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software
- Familiarity with inventory control and stock management procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- LF license will be an advantage.
