About the role

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Community Relations Manager to join our Stakeholder Engagement team at AGL Loy Yang on a 6-month Parental Leave Cover basis with the potential for extension.

You will have the opportunity to deliver and coordinate social impact investment activities and build relationships that support the Latrobe Valley community and strengthen AGL Loy Yang’s position as the choice of employer in the region.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and lead community engagement activities to support AGL Loy Yang.
  • Manage community funding programs.
  • Coordinate communication of AGL activities in the Gippsland region.
  • Monitor and report on stakeholder needs, interests and issues, and provide recommendations to support.
  • Work across AGL, including project, communications, media and regulatory teams.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • Experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies and social impact programs for community stakeholders.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
  • An understanding of and experience of using a variety of communication channels to communicate information.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity in dealings with colleagues, external stakeholders and customers.
  • Current or recent roles in stakeholder engagement, media or communications & existing relationships within the Latrobe Valley community are highly regarded.
