About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Superintendent - Environment at our Gunnedah Open Cut Operations. Reporting to the Manager - Environment and Rehabilitation, you will be part of a collaborative team supporting environmental compliance, monitoring, and rehabilitation activities to achieve site and statutory outcomes. Based predominantly at our newest mine, Vickery, you will also support our operations at the Gunnedah CHPP.

What You’ll Do

• Planning, investigating & implementing environmental projects/initiatives.
• Weekly, monthly and annual reporting.
• Maintain the site GIS database.
• Contractor management and coordination.
• Manage rehabilitation and land management activities on site.
• Ensure both environmental and safety compliance are maintained with legislation and standards.
• Lead and develop a small team of environmental professionals and support the wider Environment team.

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental science or related discipline.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for environmental performance and sustainable mining practices.
• Knowledge of regulatory processes in the mining sector.
• High level oral and written communication skills, particularly in delivering information and liaising with stakeholders.
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
