The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of high-quality microbiology and molecular pathology services by performing specimen processing, laboratory data entry and diagnostic support activities that contribute to accurate and timely patient care.
What you'll do
In this role you will receive and process pathology specimens, perform laboratory data entry and request registration, assist with microbiology and molecular specimen preparation, maintain laboratory equipment and consumable stocks, support quality control and accreditation activities, respond to enquiries from laboratory clients, maintain accurate laboratory records, and contribute to the efficient operation of a busy pathology laboratory while working within established quality and safety standards.

- Has experience or an interest in pathology, laboratory or healthcare support services
- Has strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- Can follow laboratory procedures accurately and work with minimal supervision
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Can prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
