About the Role

As a Lending Support Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role within our Retail Lending Support team, supporting the lending performance of BOQ and ME Proprietary channel. This role is all about elevating capability, strengthening risk management, and driving sustainable growth across our lending network.

You’ll be the go‐to expert for complex lending scenarios, providing strategic guidance that enhances both banker capability and customer value. Working closely with Group Credit and Group Lending Operations, you’ll help shape a high‐performing lending environment that delivers strong asset growth, improved application quality, and an exceptional customer experience.

In this role, you will influence key outcomes across the network by supporting capability uplift initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to continuous improvement of risk controls. You’ll also play an important part in onboarding new lenders and strengthening relationships with our Retail Credit team.

If you’re passionate about lending excellence, enjoy solving complex problems, and thrive in a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts business performance, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

About You

You bring a solid foundation of experience, with at least five years in the financial services industry and a strong background in mortgage lending. Your approach is shaped by a genuine passion for customer service and a confident sales ethos that helps you build trust and deliver value. You’re an effective negotiator who can navigate complex situations with ease, and you collaborate naturally with others to solve problems and drive better outcomes. Clear, engaging communication comes naturally to you, whether you’re presenting to stakeholders or supporting colleagues across the network, and you take pride in delivering work that reflects professionalism and capability.

BOQ Group is a truly unique group of challenger brands with a purpose – to provide a genuine alternative to Australian financial services for customers and employees.
