About the role

A popular Indian Restaurant offering delicious food, a warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and a range of services to visitors and locals alike is expanding its size and dine-in area, and is currently looking to recruit an experienced qualified Cook to join its supportive team in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to its guests in its Toongabbie location. As a fulltime Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious, high-quality dishes for its customers.

What you'll be doing

" Preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and standards.

" Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements.

" Assist Chefs in preparing inventory list for ordering and maintaining stock levels.

" Assisting in menu planning and development.

" Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

" Inspect and receive stock.

" Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

" Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.

" Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive dining experience.

What business is looking for

" Certificate III or higher in commercial cookery. Alternatively, 3 years of experience can be used to substitute formal qualification.

" Minimum 1 year of experience in a relevant role within the restaurant industry.

" Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.

" Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

" Food safety and hygiene awareness and ability to apply it in workplace.

" Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

" Strong communication and teamwork skills.
