Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Director (Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation) to join our Working Well Health team.

As a Human Resources Director (Workers Compensation & Rehabilitation) in Working Well Branch, ATO People, you’ll lead a dedicated team of staff across Australia to manage the ATO’s:

  • workers compensation claims and liability management; the ATO independently manages our delegated (Comcare) claims management arrangements for workers compensation

  • strategic rehabilitation management for compensable matters

  • early and primary intervention initiatives and supports.

Core to this role is providing advice and direction on complex and multifaceted and adversarial case management strategies and leading on contemporary policies and procedures to promote a safe and healthy workplace and return to and recovery at work. Regularly exercising judgement and influencing senior leaders, external stakeholders such as regulators, union representatives, and medical professionals.

The role is a critical player in the Working Well leadership team, working in close partnership with colleagues and stakeholders across ATO People (including HR Business Partners) to ensure our efforts are fit for purpose and impactful.

This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Moonee Ponds or Parramatta.
