Job description

We are seeking a Planning and Reporting Director to join our Business Insights and Information Services team.

As a Planning and Reporting Director, you will support the agency’s strategic and operational goals by providing accurate and timely information and analysis. Effective planning and reporting ensure resources are used efficiently, risks are managed, and informed decisions are made to meet agency objectives.

You will drive strategic planning, performance monitoring, data insights and corporate reporting across the agency. Operating with a high level of autonomy and accountability, you’ll lead a team of specialists to deliver high quality planning frameworks, performance insights and reporting products that support executive decision making, align with government priorities and continuously improve planning and reporting practices.

You will oversee the development and integration of strategic and operational plans, managing enterprise-wide planning and reporting cycles while identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen governance and improve processes. You’ll provide authoritative advice to senior executives, ensuring planning and reporting activities are evidence based, future oriented and responsive to emerging risks and opportunities. You’ll represent the agency in high level forums, collaborate with counterparts across government, and contribute to whole of government initiatives.

This role may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Albury, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Penrith, Parramatta or Sydney CBD.
