Benefit Change Delivery & Governance Lead

Job Requisition Number: 14066

Date: 20 Apr 2026

Location:

DOCKLANDS, VIC, AU, 3008

You’re only human.

It’s a strange thing to say, because us humans are capable of incredible things. And at Medibank, we know our greatest potential lies in the people who work with us.

We strive to make real, fundamental change, driven by a simple purpose: to create the best health and wellbeing for all of Australia.

We’re seeking an experienced Benefit Change Delivery & Governance Lead to take ownership of a newly created role coordinating the end‐to‐end governance and delivery of benefit changes across large, complex health insurance environments.

In this 12‐month fixed‐term opportunity, you’ll ensure benefit changes—across areas such as pharmacy, medical benefits, prosthetics, ancillary and hospital contracts—are assessed, approved, implemented, and monitored accurately through to internal claiming systems. You’ll bring strong governance discipline, coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholders, and help reduce operational and customer risk.

What you’ll do

  • Lead governed delivery of benefit changes from source to system

  • Chair governance forums and ensure robust documentation and approvals

  • Coordinate implementation across business, technical, clinical and operational teams

  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies to support timely delivery

  • Drive continuous improvement through strong assurance and root cause analysis

What you bring

  • Experience coordinating complex, regulated change end‐to‐end

  • Private health insurance and/or broader health industry knowledge and experience

  • Strong governance, risk, and documentation capability

  • Comfort working with technology teams, translating business and policy requirements into delivery‐ready change

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence (essential, with Miro being highly regarded)

  • Confidence influencing stakeholders without formal authority

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple concurrent changes

Why join us

  • Make an immediate impact in a newly established role

  • Play a critical role in protecting customers and ensuring benefit accuracy

  • Work across diverse stakeholders in a highly visible, outcome‐focused environment
