Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Specialist)
Salary package:$98,387 - $113,252 per annum plus 17% superannuation
Terms: 2x Full time, Continuing

The Position

The Case Manager, Accessibility provides expert functional assessment and coordination of educational supports for students with disabilities. The role develops Education Access Plans, ensures accommodations align with the Disability Standards for Education 2005 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, and works collaboratively across the University to promote inclusive practice. The Case Manager advocates for students with disabilities and those with caring responsibilities to strengthen support services, and contributes to service monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement.

The Person

You will hold relevant qualifications in healthcare or disability-related field (Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or Inclusive education). Experience working in an education environment will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of accessible technologies.

In this role, you will draw on your expertise to work with a diverse student population. This includes a focus on enhancing the quality of support services for students with disability, ensuring inclusivity, and fostering an environment that promotes equitable opportunities for academic success. As part of our diverse Health and Wellbeing teams, you will help make a positive impact on the lives of students.

The Team

The Accessibility team plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environment for all students. Through collaboration with colleges, staff, and university partners, the team ensures that students with disability and, carers of people with disability, receive the accommodations, support, and resources they need to fully participate in academic and university life. By developing education access plans, promoting universal design, advocating for accessibility, and guiding the university community in best practices, the team helps remove barriers and enhances the holistic student experience. Their work is central to upholding the university’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and student success.

The College/Division

The Experience, Wellbeing and Inclusion Division is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) Portfolio. The Division provides a range of support, enrichment, and advisory services to help students to achieve their university education goals. We support students living both on and off campus, undergraduate and post-graduate, and strive to ensure high quality and responsive services are delivered effectively to students from all backgrounds.
