About This Role

Looking for a hands-on role where your skills keep things moving? At Whitehaven Coal, we’re after experienced Maintenance Fitters to join our Gunnedah Basin Haulage team. You’ll be working on our fleet of 26 Scania A-doubles, helping keep our operations safe, reliable and on schedule.

What You'll Do

  • Perform all required repairs and maintenance on our Scania A-doubles
    Work autonomously to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Showcase a commitment to safety with visible safe work practices and adherence to JSA protocols
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to complete work orders effectively
  • Be able to do a 3 panel roster (days & nights)

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic, with expertise in maintaining heavy vehicles and trailers
  • Experience with Scania trucks (a bonus, but not essential!)
  • Relevant trade qualifications and hands-on industry experience.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork.
  • A Current Drivers License
