About Us II Sorriso Cafe Plus is a well-established dining venue in Palmyra, Western Australia, known for its quality food, consistent service standards, and strong customer base. We operate a fast-paced commercial kitchen focused on food quality, presentation, and hygiene. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Cook (ANZSCO 351411) to join our team on a full-time basis. Position Overview As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food in accordance with established recipes and kitchen standards. You will work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations, maintain food safety standards, and deliver consistent quality dishes. Key Duties & Responsibilities · Prepare and cook dishes in accordance with menu requirements · Examine ingredients to ensure quality and freshness · Operate and regulate cooking equipment, including ovens and grills · Store food in line with temperature control and food safety standards · Assist with preparation of meals for special dietary requirements · Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen areas · Assist with stock rotation and basic inventory control · Support kitchen operations during service periods · Provide guidance to junior staff as required Skills & Qualifications Required • AQF Certificate Ill in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) • AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is highly preferred • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a commercial kitchen • Sound knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Good time management and teamwork skills Australian Applicants Encouraged Australian citizens and permanent residents are strongly encouraged to apply.
