The role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Crown Theatre team as a Technical Operator - Audio. This role is responsible for assisting the Head Technical Operator – Audio, with Audio technical requirements for touring shows, productions and events. This role will be responsible for manual handling and lifting of audio equipment during the bump in and bump out of shows as well as in show mode.

This is a casual role that requires flexible availability.

About you

You’ll bring the following:

• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of audio equipment and systems.
• Strong knowledge of lighting equipment and systems
• Show role experience (follow spot, floor electrician, board operator etc.)

Additional information

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Prior experience on stage in a technical role
• Extensive experience in entertainment Audio
• Passion for the Arts and Entertainment

This role requires:

• Flexible availability and willingness to work outside of normal business hours
• Technical audio experience with an emphasis on Theatre Audio setup
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety
