What You'll Do:
- Maintain and optimise electrical systems across ancillary equipment through regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault finding.
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical issues to minimise downtime and keep production running safely and efficiently.
- Champion safety and compliance by adhering to the site’s Safety and Health Management System (SHMS), electrical standards, and statutory regulations.
- Document and report maintenance activities, electrical performance data, and system improvements to support reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform high-voltage operations, including switching, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and controls in accordance with site HV procedures.
What You'll Bring:
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence Class Fitter Mechanic or equivalent approved (non-Queensland issued) Australian issued electrical licence, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of electrical work.
- Dragline and Shovel experience preferred
- Proven experience in maintenance and fault-finding within mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial environments.
- Demonstrated capability in performing complex process plant isolations to enable safe maintenance and operational reliability.
- Solid technical expertise across electrical systems, SCADA, PLCs, and advanced fault-diagnosis techniques, supported by sound instrumentation knowledge.
- Qualifications and demonstrated experience in High Voltage Switching & Access and Maintenance, or the ability to gain these qualifications.
- Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of large low voltage AC motors including the following motor starting techniques VSD, DOL or soft starting.
